Tepeyac

Hi Jan and Kristen!

My name is Matthew Tarro and I’ve been a patient at the Tepeyac community center for the last year shortly after moving to Denver and losing my job. As a Type 1 Diabetic, Medicaid has been a saving grace. In 2019, I worked in medical device sales so I’m very familiar with the American health care system’s insurance process. I’m also aware the BIPOC community drastically lacks resources and access to proper care.

Shortly after COVID started in 2020, I started a non-profit for men living with diabetes. Focused on mental, physical, and emotional health called Bolus Maximus.

I’ve worked in Digital media, marketing, and advertising for the last 15 years - however, my passion is art and design! I’m a published photographer (Whalebone Magazine, Wine Issue) and have about 100 pieces of art I’ve created in the last 3 years. Ranging in size from 12x12” all the say up to 60x50”!

I’d love to show my recent art in hopes the hospital would be interested in purchasing pieces of my work for the hallways / sitting areas. I have a lot of completed work at my house (about a mile from the new office) but I’ve added some shots below to give you an idea. There are also examples on my BUY page.

I’m so thrilled to see the new space, I was there yesterday (6/6/23) and would like to extend my congratulations on a fantastic layout and execution! I’ve spent my whole life in hospitals - my father was chief of staff at Rhode Island hospital, among other positions over the years. My mother was a nurse who worked in administration and the recovery room. Kudos to the team, staff, and patients.

** I’d like to offer professional headshots to all your staff if they’re interested, free of charge. I’m happy to come anytime right now, as I’m looking for new work. I’d be happy to discuss a promotional video for the new space to highlight functionality. Can record the same video and dub over in different languages for you too - I’ve got all the audio gear needed for such an endevor. If you’d like yo sit down and have a conversation, please feel free to reach out any time.

Thanks,

Matt Tarro
